About Mead Tastings
We do guided mead tastings anytime that we are open. A tasting is your choice of 8 of our available meads (not including Reserve meads) and you get to keep your wine glass! $12 each
You may also choose a flight of 6 ciders and meads on tap to sample at a table or out on the porch. $9
Stop by for a bottle of mead (honey wine), a tasting, a tour of the production facility and a friendly welcome. If you have not tried mead before – just ask, we will be glad to share our love of this extraordinary beverage with you!
Children are welcome. We have games, blocks, and coloring books available.
Your friendly dog is welcome on the porch or in the back yard at the picnic tables. Service dogs only inside the tasting room please.

Every first Sunday, the cathedral-like acoustics in the tasting room of Starrlight Mead bring a sense of reverence and play to these sessions. Think of it like non-dogmatic sonic church. Check details to see how to participate.
In support of the 11th Annual Death Faire, we set aside sacred time to tend to our own grieving hearts. During this special event, heart2heartnc offers the space to love fully, grieve deeply, and bring comfort to ourselves and the community. Cathy Brooksie Edwards will lead us through a powerful journey of breathwork, light movement, and healing touch.
DEATH FAIRE; a modern-day ritual for our community, inspired by the death positivity movement, sharing a rich time of knowledge, wisdom, celebration, and remembrance. Music, vendors, speakers, art show, and more.

Sipping on a hot mug of tea is a soothing ritual all on its own. But when we combine it with gentle acupressure tapping, sending an additional calming signal to the brain, it can do wonders to reduce the anxiety, overwhelm, and fear surrounding the holidays.
Join us the third Friday of each month for a candle-lit evening sound bath featuring a variety of singing bowls, chimes and percussion accompanying the human voice.

Starrlight Mead’s artisan winery and tasting room is located in Pittsboro, North Carolina, in the Chatham Beverage District at The Plant. This historic complex is located just southeast of downtown Pittsboro, off old 64, two miles east of the Courthouse on the circle.
Starrlight Mead is located on the hill overlooking the fields at The Plant in the big blue building. Look for the honey bees welcoming you!
