About Mead Tastings
We do guided mead tastings anytime that we are open. A tasting is your choice of 8 of our available meads (not including Reserve meads) and you get to keep your wine glass! $12 each
You may also choose a flight of 6 ciders and meads on tap to sample at a table or out on the porch. $9
Stop by for a bottle of mead (honey wine), a tasting, a tour of the production facility and a friendly welcome. If you have not tried mead before – just ask, we will be glad to share our love of this extraordinary beverage with you!
Children are welcome. We have games, blocks, and coloring books available.
Your friendly dog is welcome on the porch or in the back yard at the picnic tables. Service dogs only inside the tasting room please.

Starrlight Mead’s artisan winery and tasting room is located in Pittsboro, North Carolina, in the Chatham Beverage District at The Plant. This historic complex is located just southeast of downtown Pittsboro, off old 64, two miles east of the Courthouse on the circle.
Starrlight Mead is located on the hill overlooking the fields at The Plant in the big blue building. Look for the honey bees welcoming you!
