Ben and I are celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary next week on Tuesday. Even as I type that, I can’t believe that it’s been 30 years! Wow! And like all good relationships, some days it feels like forever and some days it feels like it can’t possibly have been that long!
For our anniversary, we were trying to decide what we’d like to do to celebrate and finally came up with the idea for a road trip - the Great Mead-iversary Tour!! Basically, a road trip that will cover 4 states and 7 meaderies (and one brewery) in the mid-Atlantic. Now that’s our kind of vacation!
So we invite you along as we visit meaderies up and down the eastern seaboard, meeting mead makers (many of whom we’ve “known” on Facebook for a while, but never met in person) and drinking meads as we go! We’ll try to take pictures along the way.
Meaderies on the Great Mead-iversary Tour:
Virginia - Black Heath, Richmond and Silver Hand, Williamsburg
Delaware - Brimming Horn (almost open), Rehoboth and Liquid Alchemy, Wilmington (and Dogfish Head Brewery, because it’s one of Ben’s very favorites)
Pennsylvania - The Colony, Allentown and Stonekeep, Birdsboro
Maryland - Orchid Cellar, Middletown
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for pictures, reviews of meads, and general shenanigans! We’ll be using the hashtag #MeadiversaryTour so you can find us easily! We are so excited to get on the road!
